Our story.
Milecka grew from years of working behind the scenes of organisations that were growing, changing and figuring things out as they went.
Our careers began in the NGO sector, where we learned early on how much can be achieved with limited resources, strong teams and a lot of determination. From there, our paths took us through leadership, digital publishing, creative businesses, green tech, startups and purpose-driven organisations — giving us experience across different industries, cultures and ways of working.
We’ve worked with people across countries and continents, within multicultural and international teams, and across office, hybrid and fully remote environments. Along the way, we’ve gained experience in building teams, creating processes, managing change, solving problems and keeping things moving when there isn’t a ready-made playbook.
Eventually, we decided to bring that experience together and build something of our own.
That became Milecka.com
Today, we work with founders and growing teams across recruitment, People Ops, operations and systems — stepping in where experience, ownership and an extra pair of capable hands can make a real difference.
Milecka is the result of everything we’ve learned so far — and a chance to keep learning, building and doing work we genuinely enjoy.

Magdalena
I’ve always been drawn to the space between people, ideas and organisation.
I started my career in 2009 in the NGO sector before moving into startups, where I found my way into recruitment, People & Culture and operations.
Over the years, I’ve built hiring processes, supported growing teams, managed projects and helped founders turn ideas into something that works in practice.
Today, I focus on operations, recruitment and client relationships at Milecka.
I love solving problems, bringing structure to messy things and — perhaps most of all — being the person someone can hand something to and know it’s taken care of.
Chris
My career has always been somewhere between people and systems.
I started in the NGO sector, moving from frontline fundraising into leadership roles focused on teams, recruitment, onboarding and performance.
Later, I moved into digital publishing and content strategy, leading teams and operational change across several markets.
Today, I focus on recruitment operations and People Ops at Milecka, helping growing companies build better hiring workflows, candidate experiences and internal systems.
I’m also a Notion Certified Admin — which probably tells you something about how much I enjoy turning chaos into something that makes sense.
